The Quality Time Report

If you purchase the single year Deluxe or the 2-year ParentTimeCalendar program, you can create a "Quality Time" report based on the information you've included within your parenting plan.

A Quality Time report provides a comparison between the time the child actually spends with each parent. Sleep time, nap time, school time, and the time(s) when the child is away from both parents (for example summer camp) are subtracted from the total hours in the year leaving only the time the child is actually awake and in the company of each parent. Expressed as a percentage of the calendar's total hours, Quality Time gives a more fair comparison between non-custodial and custodial time. By adding the Quality Time of each parent it also indicates how much total Quality Time the child is receiving.  (Click here for an example of Quality Time calculations)

The quality time report produces a two page printout. The first page is a textual summary that includes all of the assumptions used in the quality time calculations. The second page is a pie chart that provides a graphical display of quality time.

The 2 year ParentingTimeProgram includes some special logic to accommodate either a single year or two year calendar. It works like this: If there are no days marked in the second year, then the Quality Time calculations are based only on the first year. If there are no days marked in the first year, then the Quality Time calculations are based only on the second year. If there is at least one marked day in each year, then the Quality Time calculations are based on both years.

The quality time report can be saved to your hard drive as an image file in either bitmap or jpeg format (use jpeg (for emailing).  It can also be printed to your printer.  If working with colors you can optionally print your quality time report in black and white to conserve color ink or if you have a black and white printer.

Note:   To print out the quality time report you will need a Windows(TM) compatible, graphics capable printer.

Note:   The quality time report is only available with the ParentingTimeCalendar Deluxe 1-year or 2-year calendar versions.
